Our Core Commitment: Steadfast Wallet is a non-custodial, self-custody wallet. We do not have access to your private keys, seed phrases, or funds. Your cryptographic keys are generated and stored solely on your device.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
As a non-custodial wallet, we explicitly do not collect, store, or have access to:
- Your private keys or seed phrases
- Your wallet balances or transaction history
- Your cryptocurrency funds
- Your wallet addresses (unless you voluntarily share them)
- Your personal identity information
2. Information That May Be Collected
When using certain features of the wallet, limited information may be processed:
- Blockchain Interactions: When you send transactions, they are broadcast to public blockchain networks. This is inherent to how blockchains work.
- Third-Party Services: If you use integrated services (such as fiat on-ramps), those third parties may collect information according to their own privacy policies.
- Crash Reports: With your consent, anonymous crash reports may be sent to help us improve the application.
3. Third-Party Services
Steadfast Wallet integrates with third-party services to provide additional functionality:
- Fiat On-Ramp Providers: When purchasing cryptocurrency, you interact directly with providers like MoonPay or Transak. These services have their own KYC requirements and privacy policies.
- Price Data: We may fetch cryptocurrency prices from public APIs. These requests do not include any personal information.
- Blockchain Nodes: The wallet connects to blockchain nodes to sync and broadcast transactions. Only public blockchain data is transmitted.
4. Data Storage
All sensitive data is stored locally on your device:
- Private keys are encrypted and stored in your device's secure enclave or keystore
- Transaction history is cached locally for your convenience
- Settings and preferences are stored on your device only
5. Your Rights and Control
You have complete control over your data:
- Export: You can export your seed phrase at any time
- Delete: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data
- Portability: Your seed phrase works with any compatible wallet
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures:
- End-to-end encryption for sensitive data
- Secure key storage using platform-native security features
- No server-side storage of keys or personal data
- Open-source code available for security audits
7. Children's Privacy
Steadfast Wallet is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
